Who we are

Our website address is: https://www.fiftywrites.com.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We really don’t collect anything, but common tools may do so, described as accurately as possible below.
We will receive the name & email address that you submit if you message us from the “Contact Fifty” page, but we will only use this address if we need to respond to you. We will never sell, lend, or trade your email address. We hate that, too.

Embedded content from other websites & apps

Posts on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, maps, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behave in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

The Contact Form uses spam and bot protection from Akismet and Google ReCaptcha.

These websites & apps may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics & Cookies

Like almost every other website in the universe, we use Google Analytics to measure our number of site visitors and other statistics, which are aggregated and reported anonymously to us. (Basically something like- “you had 2,000 visitors, 90% of them came from the U.S., and they spent an average of 6 minutes on your site”, and other similar information.) Basically, it’s the same type of data that Google collects whenever you use any of their search or other services, and it may require the use of cookies and anonymous identifiers. The Contact Form uses spam and bot protection from Akismet and Google ReCaptcha. More information may be found at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy and https://automattic.com/privacy-notice/.

Use of this site acknowledges your acceptance of the use of cookies and other commonly used statistics-tracking devices, as well as spam and bot protection if you use our Comment Form. For cookie (and other statistics-tracking devices) opt-out information please visit: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/ and https://automattic.com/privacy-notice/

Who we share your data with

NO ONE. We don’t have your data. Only as described above, anonymously and aggregated, by third parties such as Google. The exception is if you’ve messaged us using the Contact Form, then we have the name & email address that you have submitted but we will only use this address if we need to respond to you. We will never sell, lend, or trade your email address. We hate that, too.

What third parties we receive data from

We receive this data only anonymously. We don’t know who you are, unless you’ve messaged us, then we have your name & email address as we’ve explained above. Like almost every other website in the universe, we use Google Analytics to measure our number of site visitors and other statistics, which are aggregated and reported anonymously to us. (Basically something like- “you had 2,000 visitors, 90% of them came from the U.S., and they spent an average of 6 minutes on your site”, and other similar information.) (Since we really don’t care about your data, and don’t sell, trade, or lend your email address if you provide it to us, we’re pretty much extremely light on this compared to most other things you’ll do on the web!)
