Why does that link take you to a different site?

FiftyWrites.com is my self-built site, and as you can see, it’s always free, with no annoying advertisements, no sign-ups, and no logins. It will always be this way.
For additional reach, and to allow you to subscribe to emails of each new piece (which you can’t do here at fiftywrites.com), I also publish these stories in two other places, also ad-free. The content is intended to be the same across all three sites, with the exception of one item mentioned below.
- My Preferred Site (Free):
I’m publishing for free on Substack, at fiftywrites.substack.com, or fiftywrites.net, or 50writes.com. Substack allows me to offer free email subscriptions. The Welcome page will ask you to subscribe for free, but you can always bypass this by clicking on Let Me See It All First at the very bottom of the page. I know you’ll want to subscribe, though!
- But if you happen to be a Medium subscriber:
I’m also publishing on Medium, as it’s easier to find new readers there. Yes, they do have a small membership fee for reading unlimited stories across their site, but if you’re already there, you can find me there, too! I’m at medium.com/@fiftywrites, or fiftywrites.blog. You can subscribe to emails of each new piece I publish there. (On Medium I may post a few additional non-fictional reflection pieces not present on this site, mostly commenting on other writers’ articles I’ve found there.)
